MTS says number of spam calls more than halves in Jan–May
MOSCOW, Jun 30 (PRIME) -- The number of spam calls to the subscribers of Russian mobile operator MTS decreased to 123 million in January–May from 295 million a year earlier thanks to a constant updating of the base of spam numbers and their blocking, innovations center Future Crew MTS RED said in a research seen by PRIME on Friday.
The average duration of spam calls increased to 33 seconds in the reporting period from 22 seconds a year earlier, and 26% of the total number of such calls lasted longer than 30 seconds.
Spam calls accounted for 6% of the total number of calls on MTS’ network.
